Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place Ephesians 6:14
INSIGHT:
In the roman soldier’s attire, the breastplate is supposed to cover the whole area from the neck to the thighs. It is another protective weapon, covering some important organs including the heart. Our physical heart is used symbolically to show the importance of righteousness. Righteousness is rooted in the condition of our heart, not our physical heart in this case, but rather our inner being. Righteousness is linked to the Holiness of God; it speaks to our standing vis a vis God first and our neighbor next.
Remember that we are engaged in a battle against an enemy that is an expert in fabricating lies. And the biggest lie today is to make you believe that Jesus paid the price, therefore sin does not really matter anymore to God. You can live any how, it does not really matter. The reality is that sin is fatal to our spiritual life in many regards. We must put on the breastplate of righteousness at all times in order to disarm the enemy and cancel all is accusations against us. That is to be sincerely in Christ and to do what is right before God.
Dans la tenue du soldat romainde l’epoque, la cuirasse est censée couvrir toute la zone du cou aux cuisses. C’est une autre arme de protection, couvrant certains organes importants dont le cœur. Notre cœur physique est utilisé symboliquement pour montrer l’importance de la justice. La justice est enracinée dans la condition de notre cœur, pas notre cœur physique dans ce cas, mais plutôt notre être intérieur. La justice est liée à la sainteté de Dieu ; ca parle de notre position vis-à-vis de Dieu d’abord et de notre prochain ensuite.
N’oubliez pas que nous sommes engagés dans une bataille contre un ennemi qui est un expert dans la fabrication de mensonges. Et le plus grand mensonge aujourd’hui est de vous faire croire que Jésus a payé le prix, donc le péché n’a plus vraiment d’importance pour Dieu. Vous pouvez vivre n’importe comment, peu importe. La réalité est que le péché est fatal à notre vie spirituelle à bien des égards. Nous devons revêtir la cuirasse de la justice à tout moment afin de désarmer l’ennemi et d’annuler toutes les accusations portées contre nous. C’est sincèrement en Christ et faire ce qui est juste devant Dieu.

- Seigneur, aide-moi à marcher comme une nouvelle créature en Christ à tous égards.
- Seigneur, accorde-nous la victoire face à toutes sortes de tentations.
