Bible Reading/Text

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth…. No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known. John 1:14-18

Insight:

John the Baptist was right in humbly acknowledging that Jesus was ranked before him. In fact, Jesus is ranked before all of us. Only He, is full of grace and truth, and is the radiance of the glory of God. Noone can come even close to that. Today, I want you to realize that everything you have, everything you do, is made possible because of Him. The act of receiving is always an act of humility. Receiving from the fullness of the Lord is even a bigger act surrender and humility.

What have we received? We have received all that pertains to this life. Everything that we need to be fulfilled, to reach our destiny has been provided through the covenantal relationship made possible by the blood of Jesus. We have indeed received abundant grace, unmerited favor from the Lord.
