My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. John 10:27-29
Insight:
The identity of Jesus continues to be the biggest problem for the Jews. How can he walk among them and do all the things that only God can do? Only one answer seems reasonable. He, Himself is God. Today’s question is the same as before: which Jesus do you believe in or follow? There is only one Jesus who is able to give you eternal life; the one the Jews refused to acknowledge. There isn’t another one and there will never be another one. Only He is able keep you saved. The question is often raised about losing our salvation. As far as Jesus is concerned, the answer is very straight forward: no one can take you away from the Father’s hand. The heart of men is so wicked that many cannot understand the depth of the grace of God. Many are trying to get you unsaved but remember that they have nothing to do with your salvation to begin with. God will not force salvation onto you, so you will be saved as long as you believe and surrender your life to Jesus. None of that “I am saved but I live a life of a pagan” nonsense. Are you really saved? Then live like one and let God take all the glory. See you in heaven???
L’identité de Jésus continue d’être le plus gros problème pour les Juifs. Comment peut-il marcher parmi eux et faire toutes les choses que seul Dieu peut faire ? Une seule réponse semble raisonnable. Lui-même est Dieu. La question d’aujourd’hui est la même qu’avant : en quel Jésus croyez-vous ou suivez-vous ? Il n’y a qu’un seul Jésus qui est capable de vous donner la vie éternelle ; celui que les Juifs ont refusé de reconnaître. Il n’y en a pas d’autre et il n’y en aura jamais d’autre. Lui seul est capable de vous garder sauvé. La question est souvent posée “pert-on le salut?”. En ce qui concerne Jésus, la réponse est très simple : personne ne peut vous arracher de la main du Père. Le cœur des hommes est si méchant que beaucoup ne peuvent pas comprendre la profondeur de la grâce de Dieu. Beaucoup essaient de vous faire perdre le salut, mais rappelez-vous qu’ils n’ont rien à voir avec votre salut pour commencer. Dieu ne vous forcera pas à être sauvé, vous serez donc sauvé tant que vous croirez et donnerez votre vie à Jésus. Rien de tout cela “Je suis sauvé mais je vis une vie de païen” c’est absurde. Es-tu vraiment sauvé ? Alors vis en consequence et laisse Dieu prendre toute la gloire. On se voit au paradis???

- Seigneur, ouvre nos yeux sur la profondeur de ta grâce et de ta miséricorde.
