Verse: “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.” 1 Cor.13:4-6
Insight:
Love is supposed to be pure and beautiful. There is no boasting in love because love does all that is humanly possible not to hurt or push down the next person. How do you make the people around you feel about your accomplishments? Do you give all the glory to the Lord? To boast is to take all the credit for what the Lord has made happen in your life. It is the attitude of someone who is proud and selfish. Learn to acknowledge God and be prompt to testify about his goodness and grace upon your life and your family.
L’amour est censé être pur et beau. Il n’y a pas de vantardise dans l’amour parce que l’amour fait tout ce qui est humainement possible pour ne pas blesser ou écraser autrui. Comment parlez-vous de vos réalisations aux gens autour de vous? Donnez-vous toute la gloire au Seigneur? Se vanter, c’est s’attribuer tout le mérite de ce que le Seigneur a fait advenir dans votre vie. C’est l’attitude de quelqu’un qui est fier et égoïste. Apprenez à reconnaître Dieu et soyez prompt à témoigner de sa bonté et de sa grâce sur votre vie et votre famille.

Lord deliver me from a boastful spirit
Lord grant me a spirit of humility
Lord help me walk by the Spirit
Seigneur delivre moi de l’esprit d’orgueil
Seigneur accorde de marcher dans l’humilite
Seigneur aide-moi à marcher par l’Esprit.
