Bible Reading/Text

“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.” 1 Cor.13:4-6

Insight:

To be resentful is the result of being at odds or angry with someone. It has to do with holding grudges against people or suspecting evil from other people. Now, there is not enough room in our heart for both peace and grudges; they just cannot cohabit. To be resentful is to imprison yourself in a very dark place and give the enemy an opportunity to fertilize the seed of vengeance. No good can ever come out of it. Choosing to forgive is to free yourself from that prison and enjoy your relation with God and with others.

Let God be your avenger and trust Him to make things right for you.
