“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.” 1 Cor.13:4-6
Insight:
One of the attributes of God is that He is loving. That love is like a big tree with several branches; one of them being patience or long-suffering. To be patient is to willingly accept to suffer the consequences of someone else wrongdoing or missteps; it is to hold back any reaction that would otherwise be warranted. Simply said, it is to let go. And that is exactly how God is with us, even when we sin against Him.
Can we learn from that, and let it go when our parents, spouse, children or friends constantly wrong us. Let us teach them by our behavior the way of love for that is the way of God.
L’un des attributs de Dieu est qu’il est amour. Cet amour est comme un grand arbre à plusieurs branches ; l’un d’eux étant la patience ou la longanimité. Être patient, c’est accepter de plein gré de subir les conséquences d’un acte répréhensible ou d’un faux pas de quelqu’un d’autre; c’est se retenir de toute réaction qui serait autrement justifiée. Simplement dit, c’est laisser tomber. Et c’est exactement ainsi que Dieu est avec nous, même lorsque nous péchons contre Lui.
Pouvons-vous en tirer des leçons et laisser tomber lorsque nos parents, conjoints, enfants ou amis nous font constamment du tort. Enseignons-leur par notre comportement la voie de l’amour car c’est la voie de Dieu.

The way of love is the way of God. Let us learn to let it go sometimes.
La voie de l’amour est la voie de Dieu. Apprenons à laisser tomber parfois.
