To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, 19 and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak. Ephesians 6:18-20
INSIGHT:
Bringing unselfish prayers to the Lord is one of the keys to receiving an answer to our own prayer requests. And in order to do that with consistency, we must have a spirit of discernment and be genuinely concerned about the spiritual and physical well-being of others. It does not matter what your title is, you need others to pray for you. Even the apostle Paul is asking here that his fellow believers pray for him that he may be able to proclaim the gospel with boldness. Indeed, this is the secret for a fulfilled prayer life. That God will watch out for you and yours while you are watching out and standing in the gap for others.
Unfortunately, many believers still do not understand this principle. They spend all the time fasting and praying for their own but very rarely do they spend a moment lamenting before God for a situation in the church or the city or even the country.
We are all encouraged today to change our ways as we devote serious pray time on behalf of others as the Spirit leads. And let’s do it intentionally and consistently.
Apporter des prières désintéressées au Seigneur est l’une des clés pour recevoir une réponse à nos propres prières. Et pour le faire avec fidelite, nous devons avoir un esprit de discernement et être véritablement soucieux du bien-être spirituel et physique des autres. Peu importe votre titre, vous avez besoin que les autres prient pour vous. Même l’apôtre Paul demande ici que ses compagnons croyants prient pour lui afin qu’il puisse proclamer l’évangile avec audace. En effet, c’est le secret d’une vie de prière épanouie. Que Dieu veillera sur vous et les vôtres pendant que vous veillez et vous tenez à la breche pour les autres.
Malheureusement, de nombreux croyants ne comprennent toujours pas ce principe. Ils passent tout leur temps à jeûner et à prier pour eux-mêmes, mais ils passent très rarement un moment à se lamenter devant Dieu pour une situation dans l’église ou la ville ou même le pays.
Nous sommes tous encouragés aujourd’hui à changer nos habitudes. Consacrons du temps de prière sérieux pour les autres, sous la direction de l’Esprit. Et faisons-le intentionnellement et systématiquement.

- Lord, grant us to stand fighting for the spiritual well-being of others.
- Seigneur, aide-nous à être fideles dans notre vie de prière.
- Seigneur, accorde-nous un cœur pour aimer nos prochains.
- Seigneur, accorde-nous de lutter pour le bien-être spirituel des autres.
