Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
James 1:19-20
Insight:
Quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger are the three important recommendations that everyone is asked to consider today. Each one affords us a special blessing and is a sign of humility. Being quick to lend our ears to what someone else has to say, withholding our answer even when we have the right to so and exercising self-control are all sign of spiritual maturity. They come in the form of a test. The more we walk by the Spirit, the better equipped we will be to past this test of humility. In so doing, we will produce the righteousness of God.
Etre prompt à ecouter, lent à parler et lent à la colère sont les trois recommandations importantes que tout le monde est invité à considérer aujourd’hui. Chacune nous apporte une bénédiction spéciale et est un signe d’humilité. Être prompt à prêter l’oreille, retenir la langue même quand on en a le droit et faire preuve de maîtrise de soi sont des signes de maturité spirituelle. Ils se présentent souvent sous forme de test. Plus nous marchons selon l’Esprit, mieux nous serons équipés pour passer cette épreuve d’humilité. Ce faisant, nous produirons la justice de Dieu.

- Lord, help me to walk by the Spirit.
- Seigneur, apprends-moi à former mes oreilles.
- Seigneur, apprends-moi à controler ma langue.
- Seigneur, aide-moi à marcher par l’Esprit.
